I was driving home and accidentally listened to an entire podcast about a guy my age who lost his wife to breast cancer after she had fought it, and it came back and metastasized in her brain. He’s now spending as long as it takes to do everything on the list she had set up of things she wanted to accomplish before she died.
they wait until about halfway through to tell you that it’s cancer that does her in, and that it spread to her brain, and now my heart hurts.
my sister’s been recording all of calloway’s doctor visits and was thinking of doing something with them, since she works in radio and obviously knows how. this fills me with dread. i’ll have to listen to it and i won’t be able to.
